Role Summary

The Senior Manager – MEP Design will oversee mechanical and electrical design for residential and commercial real estate projects, ensuring compliance with design standards and authority requirements. The role includes reviewing consultant deliverables, coordinating with cross‑functional teams, supporting procurement and commercial functions, and ensuring timely design approvals and execution support.

Key Responsibilities

Technical:

• Good understanding of local and international design standards, code and local authority requirements.
• Sound knowledge of design calculations such as electrical load estimation, short‑circuit, voltage drop, equipment selection etc.
• Experienced in reviewing design documents from service consultants.
• MEP infrastructure design capabilities.
• Experience in space planning and schematic design of system.
• Experience and knowledge in lifts traffic analysis.
• Experience in working with Etap, Dilux software.
• Coordination level understanding of other services such as HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting etc.
• Good understanding of architectural and structural drawings and design intent.
• Co‑ordination with relevant stakeholders for follow up and approvals.
• Review and approval of consultant/contractor shop drawings and material submittals.
• Attending site visits and timely review and response to RFIs and queries from site.
• Coordination with commercial and procurement team for cost inputs and tender technical discussions.
• Active participation in meetings and discussions with valid inputs.
• Technical review of products for rate contract.
• Coordination with liaising department.
• Coordination and document preparation for authority submission.
• Ability to provide real‑time solution wherever possible.
• Preparation and updating of tracker, design compliance reports etc.

Managerial:

• Monitor and control the project deliverables from consultants and contractors.
• Manage internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare micro‑schedule for deliverables.
• Review consultant invoice and variation claim by consultants.
• Manage resources for in‑house working.
• Motivate the team to complete the projects in an effective and timely manner.
• Technically efficient in managing the queries.

Who are we looking for?

Qualification: B.Tech/B.E. (Electrical/Mechanical)

Experience

12‑15 years of MEP design experience in electrical and ELV services within the real‑estate industry, preferably with Grade A developers handling residential and commercial projects.

Key Skills & Competencies

• AutoCAD knowledge for review of drawings with basic drafting skill.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
