Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Sales & Business Development: identify and develop new business opportunities in control panel market; generate and qualify leads; present technical and commercial proposals; close sales and meet targets.
• Technical Expertise & ABB Portfolio: interpret electrical drawings and panel layouts; architect control panel solutions using ABB components; coordinate with design/production teams.
• Client Relationship Management: build long-term relationships with OEMs, integrators and end users; provide post-sale support and ABB drives commissioning; relay market feedback to teams.
• Market & Competitor Analysis: monitor market trends and pricing; compare offerings; suggest product strategies; willingness to travel for onsite visits and commissioning; ensure safety/ regulations compliance.

Summary:

• We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Engineer to join our team. As an authorized channel partner of ABB, we are looking for someone with strong expertise in electrical control panels and a special focus on driving the sales of ABB Drives. The ideal candidate will combine technical knowledge with strong sales skills to provide pre-sales and post-sales support, develop customer relationships, and accelerate revenue growth in the industrial automation and electrical sectors across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales & Business Development:

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in the control panel market (MCC, PCC, PLC, VFD, etc.) with a primary focus on promoting and selling ABB Drives and related ABB automation products.
• Generate and qualify leads through cold calling, networking, and industrial client visits.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and commercial proposals highlighting the value proposition of ABB solutions tailored to customer requirements.
• Close sales and achieve monthly/quarterly revenue targets.

2. Technical Expertise & ABB Portfolio:

• Understand customer technical requirements and architect appropriate control panel solutions utilizing ABB components and drives.
• Interpret electrical drawings, panel layouts, and single-line diagrams (SLDs).
• Coordinate closely with the internal design and production teams to ensure seamless alignment with client expectations and ABB technical standards.

3. Client Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships with OEMs, system integrators, and end users.
• Provide post-sale technical support, basic troubleshooting, and coordination for ABB Drives commissioning and applications.
• Manage client feedback and relay market insights to internal teams for continuous improvement.

4. Market & Competitor Analysis:

• Monitor industrial market trends, pricing strategies, and competitor offerings within the drives and automation space.
• Suggest improvements or new product strategies based on shifting market demand.
• Maintain a willingness to travel for onsite client visits, technical discussions, and commissioning support.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering (or a related technical field).
• Experience: 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in the electrical panel market, with demonstrated exposure to VFDs/Drives (specifically ABB or similar major brands being a strong advantage).
