The Senior Electrical/Control Engineer is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of electrical and control systems for automated manufacturing equipment and production lines. This role leads technical activities related to PLC, HMI, motion control, industrial networking, and machine integration while ensuring compliance with safety and customer requirements.

The Senior Electrical/Control Engineer is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of electrical and control systems for automated manufacturing equipment and production lines. This role leads technical activities related to PLC, HMI, motion control, industrial networking, and machine integration while ensuring compliance with safety and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead electrical and control system design for automation equipment and manufacturing systems.
- Develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring standards.
- Program and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, motion control, servo, and robotic systems.
- Integrate equipment with factory MES, SCADA, database, and Industry 4.0 platforms.
- Review customer requirements and translate them into control system designs.
- Define electrical BOMs and select appropriate electrical components.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with machine safety standards.
- Perform system commissioning, FAT, SAT, and site startup activities.
- Support equipment validation, qualification, and troubleshooting.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership during project execution.
- Work closely with mechanical, software, vision, and manufacturing engineering teams.
- Support customer meetings and provide technical presentations when required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in industrial automation or machine control system development.
- Strong experience with PLC platforms such as Siemens, Rockwell, Beckhoff, Mitsubishi, or Omron.
- Experience with HMI/SCADA development.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as EtherCAT, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, and Modbus.
- Ability to read and develop electrical schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with machine vision systems, including Cognex, Keyence, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of robotics integration (FANUC, ABB, Epson, Universal Robots, etc.).
- Experience in semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, or high-volume production environments.
- Familiarity with UL, CE, NFPA79, and machine safety standards.
- Experience in AI-enabled automation and Digital Twin technologies.
