Job summary

ValueLabs in Hyderabad, India seeks an Electrical Engineer to design complex automation and material handling systems for distribution and warehouse applications across projects.

You will act as the technical authority for Electrical Engineering, ensure scalable and compliant solutions, develop system designs using IEC/US standards, create electrical drawings with ACAD-E, and collaborate with cross-functional teams from concept through commissioning.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA and UL508A.
• Experience using AutoCAD-Electrical (ACAD-E) to create electrical drawings.
• Knowledge of Allen Bradley electrical products.
• Strong understanding of industrial networking (EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, Profinet).
• Experience with conveyor and MHE control systems and safety PLCs.
• Familiarity with SCADA/HMI platforms (Ignition, FactoryTalk View) is a plus.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to lead technical conversations with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
• Comfortable mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own project technical ownership and develop system designs.
• Create drawings for control panels and conveyor layouts using ACAD-E.
• Calculate power requirements for single line diagrams and panels.
• Develop and release BOMs for panels and field devices.
• Support remote teams reviewing drawings for manufacturing and installation.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits and Ethernet networks.
• Test, commission, and QA complex controls solutions at customer facilities.

Job description

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing complex automation and material handling systems for distribution, fulfillment, and warehouse applications across projects.

This role serves as the technical authority for Electrical Engineering, ensuring scalable, compliant and high-quality solutions which integrate seamlessly with upstream and downstream MHE systems (conveyors, AS/RS, robotics, sortation, and associated industrial automation technologies), including Mechanical and Controls interfaces. The Electrical Engineer drives cross‑functional alignment, mentors engineers, establishes standards and best practices, and ensures predictable, efficient execution throughout the project lifecycle.

• Project Technical Ownership
• Develop overall system design using IEC/US standards, customer specifications and KPI guidelines.
• Utilize Autodesk ACAD-E and other KPI custom tools to complete drawings for control panels, power distribution single lines, conveyor layouts, and other electrical drawings as required.
• Calculate power requirements and ratings for single line diagrams and control panels.
• Develop and release bill of materials for panels and field devices.
• Support remote teams reviewing panel or layout drawings to aid manufacturing and installation functions.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits, Ethernet networks, and basic plc logic.
• Test, Commission, and Quality Assurance of complex controls solutions in customer facilities.

• 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of NEC and NFPA and UL508A
• Experience using AutoCAD-Electrical (ACAD-E) to create, read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics is required.
• Knowledge of Allen Bradley electrical products.
• Strong understanding of industrial networking (EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet, Profinet, etc.).
• Experience with conveyor and MHE control systems (sorters, conveyors, palletizers, panel electrical components, field electrical components etc), safety PLCs, machine automation and interfacing with PLC/Software.
• Familiarity with SCADA/HMI platforms is a plus (Ignition, FactoryTalk View preferred).
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to lead technical conversations with customers and cross-functional teams.
