Job summary

Autonomous Mechatronics Private Limited is seeking a Sr. Design Engineer to lead the design of Special Purpose Machines (SPM) and automation systems.

You will create 3D models, layouts, drawings, and BOMs, and coordinate with production, electrical, automation teams, vendors and customers. The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of hands-on machine design experience, strong SolidEdge skills, and a practical approach from concept to manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of hands-on experience in SPM and automation machine design.
• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of SolidEdge and related mechanical design software.
• Pharma & Food Packaging and Industrial Automation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complete SPMs and machines per customer requirements.
• Create 3D models, assemblies, machine layouts, GA drawings, BOMs.
• Prepare professional 3D renderings for presentations and approvals.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Electrical/Automation teams, vendors and customers.
• Support manufacturing, assembly, testing and commissioning; maintain drawing standards.

Sr. Design Engineer – Special Purpose Machines (SPM) & Automation

Experience: 5–7 Years

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech – Mechanical Engineering

We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer with 5–7 years of hands‑on experience in Special Purpose Machine (SPM) and Automation Machine Design.

Key Responsibilities

• - Design and develop complete Special Purpose Machine (SPM) and machines as per customer requirements/URS.
• - Create 3D models, assemblies, machine layouts, GA drawings, fabrication drawings, part drawings and BOMs.
• - Strong working knowledge of SolidEdge and related mechanical design software.
• - Prepare professional 3D machine renderings for customer presentations, approvals and marketing.
• - Select mechanical, pneumatic and standard components and perform basic design calculations.
• - Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Electrical/Automation teams, vendors and customers for successful machine execution.
• - Support manufacturing, assembly, testing and commissioning and resolve shop-floor design issues.
• - Maintain proper drawing standards, revision control and design documentation.

Required Skills

• - Excellent knowledge of SolidEdge, 3D modelling and 2D detailing.
• - Good understanding of machine mechanisms, fabrication, machining, sheet metal, weldments and tolerances.
• - Knowledge of pneumatics, conveyors, automation and industrial machinery is must.
• - Experience in Pharma & Food Packaging and Industrial Automation machinery will be preferred.
• - Strong problem-solving, communication, coordination and time-management skills.

A hands‑on mechanical design engineer capable of taking a machine from Concept → 3D Design → Detailed Drawings → Manufacturing → Assembly Support → Final Machine.
