Job summary

SYSTRA is seeking a Sr. Contract Expert - System in India to lead contract activities for signaling, telecom, rolling stock, and related system works.

You will evaluate bids, manage contracts, negotiate settlements, and liaise with engineering and legal teams to ensure compliance with project standards and safety guidelines. Ideal candidates are Engineering graduates with at least 15 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in system contracts.

Qualifications

• Engineering graduate with extensive experience in system contracts and procurement.
• Experience in contracts for signaling, telecom, rolling stock, power supply, SCADA or AFC is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and evaluate contracts related to system works (signaling, telecom, rolling stock, power supply, SCADA, AFC).
• Oversee tendering processes and assess technical and financial bids.
• Monitor execution of system contracts and ensure compliance with technical specifications and contract obligations.
• Evaluate contractor claims, negotiate settlements and support dispute resolution.
• Ensure contracts adhere to international standards, safety regulations, and project guidelines for system integration.
• Identify contractual risks and suggest mitigation strategies.
• Liaise with engineers, project managers and legal teams and prepare periodic reports on contract status.

Currently, we are bidding for Metro projects across India. The position of Sr. Contract Expert - System is the key position in these BIDs.

Missions/Main Duties

• Prepare and evaluate contracts related to system works (signaling, telecom, rolling stock, power supply, SCADA, AFC, etc.).
• Oversee tendering processes, assess technical and financial bids, and ensure transparent contractor selection.
• Monitor execution of system contracts, track compliance with technical specifications, and enforce contractual obligations.
• Evaluate contractor claims, negotiate settlements, and support resolution of disputes specific to system packages.
• Ensure contracts adhere to international standards, safety regulations, and project guidelines for system integration.
• Identify contractual risks in system works and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Liaise with engineers, project managers, and legal teams, while preparing periodic reports on system contract status.

Profile/Skills

• He/She should be Graduate in Engineering.
• He/She should have minimum 15 Years of experience.
• He/She should have minimum 5 Years of relevant experience.
