SYSTRA Hindustan Ltd. is seeking a seasoned Chief Signaling System Engineer to lead CBTC system design, safety lifecycle management, and system integration for metro projects in India.

You will coordinate with rolling stock teams, PSD, and central control to ensure reliable operations. With 23+ years in engineering and 7+ years in rail signaling, you will drive CMRS certification, supplier FAT tests, and migration plans for brownfield deployments, while ensuring EMC/EMI compatibility with

Responsibilities

• System Architecture & Strategy: authorizing the design of the CBTC system to support required headway, ATO, and ATP.
• Safety Assurance & SIL Compliance: oversee the Safety Life Cycle to meet SIL4 standards and manage ISA relationships.
• Interface Management: lead integration between Signaling and Rolling Stock, PSD, and CTC.
• CMRS Certification: direct preparation of dossiers and field demonstrations for CMRS approval.
• EMC/EMI Governance: ensure signaling is electromagnetically compatible with Traction Power.
• Procurement & Vendor Control: vet global tenders for signaling hardware/software and approve FAT tests.
• Migration & Brownfield Planning: manage cut-over strategies for signaling software in line extensions.

Currently, we are bidding for Metro projects across India. The position of Chief Signaling System Engineer & Chief is the key position in these BIDs.

Missions/Main Duties

• System Architecture & Strategy: Authorizing the design of the Communication-Based Train Control (CBTC) system, ensuring it supports the required headway, ATO (Automatic Train Operation), and ATP (Automatic Train Protection).

• Safety Assurance & SIL Compliance: Overseeing the Safety Life Cycle to ensure the system meets SIL4 (Safety Integrity Level 4) standards and managing relationships with the Independent Safety Assessor (ISA).

• Interface Management: Leading critical integration between Signaling and Rolling Stock (on-board equipment), Platform Screen Doors (PSD), and the Centralized Traffic Control (CTC).

• CMRS Certification: Directing the preparation of technical dossiers and field demonstrations required for the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) to authorize commercial operations.

• EMC/EMI Governance: Ensuring the signaling system is electromagnetically compatible with the Traction Power system to prevent signal interference or "phantom" occupancy.

• Procurement & Vendor Control: Vetting global tenders for signaling hardware and software, and approving Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for critical interlockings and servers.

• Migration & Brownfield Planning: For line extensions, managing the complex "cut-over" strategies to integrate new signaling software without disrupting existing passenger services.
