Job summary

SYSTRA India is seeking a Sr. Contract Expert - System to lead contract management for signaling, telecom, rolling stock and related system packages on metro and rail projects in India.

You will oversee tender processes, evaluate bids, ensure compliance with technical specs, and coordinate with engineers, project managers and legal teams. The ideal candidate has engineering graduate degree with 15+ years total experience and at least 5 years in relevant system contracts; willingness to travel

Responsibilities

• Prepare and evaluate contracts related to signaling, telecom, rolling stock, power supply, SCADA and AFC.
• Oversee tendering processes, assess technical and financial bids, ensure transparent contractor selection.
• Monitor execution of system contracts, track compliance with technical specifications and enforce obligations.
• Evaluate contractor claims, negotiate settlements, and support dispute resolution for system packages.
• Ensure contracts adhere to international standards and safety regulations for system integration.
• Identify contractual risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Liaise with engineers, project managers and legal teams and prepare periodic reports.

Currently, we are bidding for Metro projects across India. The position of Sr. Contract Expert - System is the key position in these BIDs.

Missions/Main Duties

• Prepare and evaluate contracts related to system works (signaling, telecom, rolling stock, power supply, SCADA, AFC, etc.).
• Oversee tendering processes, assess technical and financial bids, and ensure transparent contractor selection.
• Monitor execution of system contracts, track compliance with technical specifications, and enforce contractual obligations.

• Ensure contracts adhere to international standards, safety regulations, and project guidelines for system integration.
