Job summary

SGS India in Mumbai is seeking an experienced Inspection Engineer for deputation with 10+ years in fabrication to perform quality-related document reviews at our office and support inspections of electrical and instrumentation items. You will review technical documents, drawings, and specifications and provide technical clarifications during the review process.

Responsibilities include assessing material test certificates, ensuring vendor document compliance with codes, and issuing quality

Qualifications

• BE / DME in Electrical or Instrumentation Engg
• 7+ years of experience in inspection in fabrication industry
• Experience in inspection of major Electrical & Instrumentation items and review of technical documents, drawings, and specifications

Responsibilities

• Review documents related to major Electrical & Instrumentation items (Transmitters, pressure gauges, temp gauges, level indicators, switches, control panels, transformers, motors, cables).
• Review / comment on Inspection & test plans referring to technical documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Provide technical clarification and recommendations during document reviews.
• Review of material test certificates of bulk items and provide inspection clearance to suppliers.
• Ensure compliance of vendors inspection documents with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements for Instrumentation & electrical items; provide quality clearance to suppliers based on document review.

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking support for deputation of Inspection Engineer with minimum 10 years experience in the fabrication industry for carrying out quality-related document reviews at our office. The scope of work will primarily include, but not be limited to below and attachment:

• Review of document related to major Electrical & Instrumentation items Transmitters, pressure gauges, temp gauges, level indicators, switches, control panels, transformers, motors, cables etc. Review of technical documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Review / commenting on Inspection & test plan duly referring to technical documents, drawings, and specifications
• Providing technical clarification and recommendations during the document review stage.
• Review of material test certificates of bulk items & provide inspection clearance to suppliers.

Ensuring compliance of vendors inspection documents with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements for Instrumentation & electrical items. Provide quality clearance to suppliers based on document review

Preferred candidate profile

Qualification: BE / DME in Electrical or Instrumentation Engg

Experience-7+ years.

Critical Skills desired-Experience in inspection of major Electrical & Instrumentation items Transmitters, pressure gauges, temp gauges, level indicators, switches, control panels, transformers, motors, cables etc. Review of technical documents, drawings, and specifications.
