Job summary

SGS India is seeking an experienced Inspection Engineer for deputation to perform quality-related document reviews in our fabrication-focused operations in Mumbai, India. The role requires 10 years of hands-on experience and BE Mech / DME qualifications.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, inspection/test plans, and welding/NDE procedures, and providing technical clarifications to ensure vendor compliance with codes and project requirements. Resume to [e-mail].

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree in mechanical engineering (BE Mech) or equivalent (DME) required.
• 10 years of experience in fabrication inspection.
• Experience with review of drawings, specifications, and test plans.
• Knowledge of welding, NDE, and quality procedures.
• Ability to provide technical clarifications during document reviews.

Responsibilities

• Review documents related to static, bulk, rotary & process packages and related drawings and specifications.
• Comment on inspection and test plans referencing technical documents, drawings, and specs.

• Provide technical clarification and recommendations during the document review stage.
• Review material test certificates of bulk items and provide inspection clearance to suppliers.

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking support for deputation of Inspection Engineer with minimum 10 years experience in the fabrication industry for carrying out quality-related document reviews at our office. The scope of work will primarily include, but not be limited to below and attachment:

• Review of document related to static, bulk, rotary & process packages Review of technical documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Review / commenting on Inspection & test plan duly referring to technical documents, drawings, and specifications
• Review / commenting on quality related procedures such as welding procedures, testing procedures, NDE procedures etc.
• Providing technical clarification and recommendations during the document review stage.
• Review of material test certificates of bulk items & provide inspection clearance to suppliers.

Ensuring compliance of vendors inspection documents with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements for static, rotary & package items. Provide quality clearance to suppliers based on document review.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualification: BE Mech / DME in Mech Engg

Experience: 10 years.
