Job summary

Autocontrolpi is seeking a QA/QC Engineer (Instrumentation & Analytical Background) to oversee end-to-end quality assurance and control for instrumentation and analytical systems. The role ensures compliance with project specs, international standards, and client requirements.

Key responsibilities include establishing QAP/ITP, witnessing inspections, managing NCRs, and coordinating client/third-party inspections. Requires 8+ years, BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing and implementing quality processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Quality certifications such as Six Sigma, ISO, or ASQ are a plus.
• Have done B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 8+ Years Experience in Quality Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, implement, and maintain QA/QC Plans (QAP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), and quality procedures for construction, refurbishment, and maintenance works.
• Establish inspection, sampling, and testing procedures with defined time limits.
• Ensure quality standards are consistently met at all stages of project execution.
• Perform incoming material inspections, verify MTC/MTRs, and ensure material traceability including PMI.
• Oversee laboratory testing, calibration verification, and review vendor quality documentation.
• Review technical specifications and drawings and recommend suitable inspection and construction practices.
• Review and approve test formats, QA/QC checklists, testing schedules, and procedures.
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor practices and recommend corrective actions where required.
• Coordinate and witness inspections including fit-up, welding, NDT, painting/coating, hydrotesting, pneumatic testing, flushing, and functional testing.
• Ensure welding activities comply with approved WPS/PQR/WPQ and ASME/API standards.
• Coordinate and review NDT activities (RT, UT, MT, PT, VT) and associated reports.
• Conduct coating inspections including surface preparation, environmental checks, DFT measurement, curing, and holiday testing.
• Coordinate and host client, consultant, and third-party inspections (TPI) and ensure timely closure of observations.
• Raise NCRs, perform root cause analysis, implement corrective/preventive actions, and ensure proper closure.
• Prepare inspection dossiers, test packs, mechanical completion, and handover documentation.
• Support commissioning and final handover activities.
• Perform other QA/QC-related duties as assigned.
