Kent PLC in Mumbai, India, seeks a Senior SQS Engineer based in Mumbai with 10–15 years of quality inspection experience in upstream oil, gas, and related industries. The role emphasizes surveillance of supplier quality, pre-qualification processes, and inspection coordination in a global context.

The candidate will review technical documentation, manage NCR logs, and lead HSSEQ adherence while coordinating with TPI/TPIA and client teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering required.
• Significant practical experience in SQS activities preferred.
• 10–15 years of quality inspection experience in relevant industries.
• Strong English communication and remote collaboration ability.

Responsibilities

• Develop/update SQS management matrix per Level IV/III/II QSA.
• Review CVs of proposed TPI candidates and approve by experience.
• Prepare Quality surveillance assignments and assign TPI.
• Conduct supplier pre-qualifications per client procedures.
• Participate in KOM to review supplier quality/inspection requirements.
• Coordinate with TPI/TPIA and suppliers for inspection stages.
• Review HSSEQ docs like ITP, QMS, etc., and maintain logs.
• Lead weekly SQS/Quality meetings with client and IOL.
• Coordinate FATs and participate in virtual FATs when required.
• Process/approve TPI invoices and maintain NCR logs.

Kent is looking for a Senior SQS (Supplier Quality Surveillance) Engineer to be based in Mumbai, India

Skills and Responsibilities:

• Development/updates of SQS management matrix per Level IV/III/II QSA.
• Review the CV of proposed TPI candidates and approve them as per their experience.
• Preparation of Quality surveillance Assignments and assign TPI.
• Supplier Pre-Qualifications as per client s procedure/ checklist.
• Participation in KOM to review supplier quality/Inspection requirements.
• Coordination with TPI/TPIA and supplier of smooth execution of inspection stages.
• Vendor quality document review like ITP, QMS, etc.
• Arrange co Bachelor s or higher degree in Engineering.
• Candidates with significant practical experience and a proven track record in SQS activities will be preferred nduct PIM (Pre-inspection meeting).
• Review and distribution of Inspection report/release, maintaining a proper log of inspection activities of TPIA clearances on areas of concerns raised during inspection for smooth execution.
• Coordination of FATs and participation in case of virtual FATs.
• Supplier NCR and maintain NCR log, monitoring corrective and preventive action as per NCR comments as a part of lessons learned from previous orders or phases.
• Weekly SQS/Quality meeting with the client, IOL.
• Supplier RAIL meetings and provide quality/ inspection inputs.
• Processing/Approving TPI invoices.

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employees skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employees current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:

• Bachelor s or higher degree in Engineering.
• Candidates with significant practical experience and a proven track record in SQS activities will be preferred

Experience :

• 10-15 years of quality inspection experience in Upstream Oil Gas, Refinery, Polymer Petrochemical industries

Communication:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to articulate technical challenges and progress effectively.
• Proficiency in remote collaboration tools and practices.
