Job summary

S.P.Engineers in Maharashtra seeks a skilled technician to support the assembly of mechanical systems. You will read complex drawings, assemble heavy frames, and fit components with precision to ensure proper alignment and performance.

The role requires hands-on experience with tools, strict adherence to safety, and teamwork with design and electrical engineers to drive on-time completion of builds.

Responsibilities

• Reading Drawings: Interpret 2D/3D mechanical assembly drawings, pneumatic schematics, and layouts.
• Machine Assembly: Build SPM sub-assemblies, heavy frames, and structural mechanical modules using hand and power tools.
• Precision Fitting: Install linear guides, ball screws, bearings, gearboxes, and pneumatic/hydraulic cylinders with high alignment accuracy.
• Component Modification: Perform minor filing, scraping, drilling, tapping, and reaming to fit custom parts properly.
• Testing and Trial Runs: Assist in dry-runs, functional testing, and troubleshooting mechanical snags during the machine build phase.
• Team Coordination: Work alongside design, electrical, and commissioning engineers to resolve shop-floor assembly bottlenecks.
• Quality & Safety: Maintain dimensional tolerances using precision instruments (vernier calipers, micrometers, dial indicators) and follow shop safety rules.
• Housekeeping (5S): Keep tools, machinery, and the designated work area clean and organized.
