- Bachelor's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology (BASLP) or equivalent.
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology (MASLP) preferred.
- Valid registration/license as per applicable regulatory requirements.
Experience
- Fresher or 1-3 years of experience in a hospital, rehabilitation center, clinic, or special education setting.
- Experience in pediatric and adult rehabilitation is preferred.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing assessments.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings.
- Provide speech and language therapy to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Diagnose and manage communication disorders arising from developmental delays, neurological conditions, hearing impairments, stroke, traumatic brain injury, autism spectrum disorders, and other medical conditions.
- Evaluate and treat swallowing (dysphagia) disorders.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as required.
- Maintain accurate patient records, assessment reports, and treatment documentation.
Patient & Family Education
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding therapy goals, treatment plans, and home exercise programs.
- Provide counseling and support to families regarding communication and swallowing disorders.
- Conduct awareness programs and educational sessions when required.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration
- Work closely with physicians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, audiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
- Coordinate referrals and follow-up care as needed.
Quality & Compliance
- Adhere to hospital policies, clinical protocols, and ethical standards.
- Ensure compliance with patient safety and infection control guidelines.
- Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and audits.
