Job summary

Societe Generale Global Solution Centre seeks a skilled Backup Specialist to design and operate resilient backup solutions. You will administer IBM TSM, EMC Networker, Cohesity, and Data Domain while delivering REST‑based API platforms for client consumption.

The role requires leading outage calls, coordinating with multiple vendors, and maintaining up‑to‑date SOPs and knowledge bases to enable smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Expertise in backup technologies including IBM TSM, EMC Networker, Cohesity, and Data Domain.
• Experience with tape libraries (Quantum/EMC) and NDMP backups.
• Strong REST API and API modelling capabilities for Backup As A Service.

Responsibilities

• Build resilient, high-performance backup solutions.
• Administer and implement on TSM, Cohesity, EMC Networker, and related modules.
• Deliver API-driven platforms for client consumption via REST.
• Lead 24x7 shift coverage and coordinate with vendors for break-fix.

Responsibilities

• Expertise in building resilient, high performance Backup Solution
• Expertise in Implementation and administration on IBM TSM [Spectrum protect] server, Cohesity, EMC Networker and different TDP modules, EMC Data Domain, Quantum Tape Library and providing solutions for the same
• Must be well versed with API delivery using REST to provide platform for API consumption
• Flexibility to work in shifts for 24x7 supports
• Co‑ordination with multiple stake holders / Third party Vendors for break‑fix.
• Must be able to lead the critical outage calls.
• Must have experience on tape rotation activity.
• Create the Standard Operating Procedure and update the knowledge database documentation whenever required
• Participate in weekly/ monthly/ customer meeting and provide activities report.
• Must be continuously Intune with Market standards and should be able to provide solutions with respect to move to cloud strategy.
• Knowledge around Cloud infrastructure and its backup offerings.
• Good knowledge on Server Platforms.
• Knowledge on performance analysis and proposals.
• Experience in capacity and performance scale out management.
• Excellent in documentation and training.
