Specialist – Insurance Broking / Placement

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Placement team at Marsh. This role will be based in Mumbai and is a hybrid role requiring at least three days a week in the office.

Role Overview

The Specialist/Senior Specialist provides essential support to Client Executives and Brokers, facilitating the placement of policies and delivering exceptional client service within the Placement value stream.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with internal targets related to error reduction, quality checking, and processing.
• Develop and maintain productive relationships with CE/Broker and Policy Servicing teams.
• Ensure all documentation complies with Marsh Procedures, Marsh Compliance Standards, and regulatory guidelines.
• Assist Client Executives and Brokers in managing placements within the Marsh systems.
• File necessary documentation in the Marsh systems and support internal and external teams with updates.
• Prepare slips/quotes, contracts, endorsements document templates, adapting them based on client information and input from broking teams.
• Review renewal reports, identifying unnecessary risks and ensuring all documents are accurate and ready for renewal.
• Monitor and manage workflow, coordinating the flow of business into Placement Teams.

Process Management:

• Manage own queue of work to ensure timely delivery on all cases as per SLA.
• Understand process steps and guidance and process case as per process guidelines and checklist.
• Escalate delays and queries appropriately after due investigation.
• Identify gaps and anomalies in information provided to ensure process completeness before submission for client delivery.
• Ensure quality of data provided by taking end-to-end responsibility of process delivery.
• Ensure adherence to policies & procedures as per organization’s standards and laid out SOPs.
• Ensure operational risks are highlighted on time and escalated to proper authorities for corrective action.
• Adhere to data and information security guidelines ensuring zero DLP.
• Be aware of and adhere to regional regulations on data management, financial crime, GDPR, etc.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate.
• Preferably 3–6 years of experience in the insurance broking domain.
• Contributes to a team-based approach in managing customer and stakeholder needs or completing projects.
• Demonstrates organizational values as it pertains to specific role requirements.
• Conveys ideas and information between knowledgeable audience members.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks during peak volume periods.
• Gathers knowledge through on-the-job training.
