Job summary

Genpact in Kolkata is looking for an Specialist in F&A - AP to manage end-to-end accounts payable activities, including invoice processing, reconcilations and payments. You will work in a hybrid setup, coordinating with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial data.

The role requires a strong foundation in accounting with AP experience, proficiency in data analytics and familiarity with Oracle/APFlow tools. Fluency in English is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum a bachelor's degree in accounting, commerce or finance.
• Experience processing AP invoices (PO and Non-PO) and requisitions.
• Strong vendor reconciliation and GRIR knowledge.
• Analytical mindset with process improvement emphasis.
• Familiarity with finance controls and reporting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review invoices and requisitions for satisfactory payment approval.
• Maintain AP process quality and handle non-standard country processes.

• Identify and implement AP improvements and efficiencies.
• Handle vendor payments, GRIR reconciliations and vendor advances.

Job Description

• Calculating, posting business transactions, processing invoices, verifying financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records
• Process invoices with PO / Non-PO
• Review invoices and requisitions for satisfactory payment approval
• Ensure quality of AP processes, handling of all not compliant and not standard processes within the country
• Verify and calculate all extensions and totals on invoices (calculating and taking discounts when applicable)
• Check vendor files for any previous payments and assign voucher numbers. Prepare vouchers listing invoice number, date, vendor address, item description, amount and coding per accounting policies and procedures
• Identify & implement AP improvements
• Vendor reconciliation and manage vendor payments cycle, GRIR reconciliations, Vendor advance etc
