Job summary

Genpact invites applications for a Specialist - F&A - FP&A. This Management Trainee role focuses on financial planning, reporting and forecasting, with emphasis on building analytics and dashboards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in finance, accounting, commerce or economics.
• Strong FP&A, financial reporting and variance analysis skills.
• Familiarity with BI tools and financial modeling expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Assist budgeting and forecasting with data consolidation.
• Build and monitor dashboards; provide data-driven insights.
• Support financial modeling, scenario analyses and sensitivity tests.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and procurement to assess financial impact.
• Identify process improvements and support automation tools.
• Ensure data accuracy and comply with internal controls.

Financial Reporting & Analysis Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Support variance analysis by comparing actual results to budget/forecast. Help identify trends and provide insights into business performance. 2. Budgeting & Forecasting Participate in the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting cycles. Gather and consolidate data from different departments for accurate forecasts. Support the development of financial models to project revenue, expenses, and profitability. 3. Business Performance Monitoring Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and assist in building dashboards. Monitor financial and operational performance against strategic goals. Provide actionable insights to management based on data analysis. 4. Data Management & Financial Modeling Support the maintenance and enhancement of financial models (Excel or BI tools). Collect and analyze financial and non-financial data from internal systems. Assist in scenario and sensitivity analyses for strategic planning. 5. Cross-functional Collaboration Work with departments such as sales, operations, and procurement to understand financial impact. Assist in communicating financial insights to non-financial stakeholders. 6. Process Improvement Identify inefficiencies in existing FP&A processes and suggest improvements. Learn and help implement automation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Excel macros). 7. Compliance & Internal Controls Ensure accuracy and consistency in financial data reporting. Adhere to internal control procedures and support audit requirements. 8. Learning & Development Actively participate in training sessions and mentoring programs.
