Job summary

Genpact is hiring for a Specialist in F&A - R2R with a focus on External Reporting. The role covers journal entry processing, GL reconciliation, month-end close, and intercompany reconciliations within a hybrid work setup in India.

You will support financial statements, disclosures, and audits, while performing variance analysis and data validation from ERP systems. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting and finance, plus exposure to ERP platforms like Oracle or SAP, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, commerce, economics, or finance
• Master's in Finance preferred
• Professional certifications CFA or CPA or CMA advantageous

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries; month-end close and year-end close
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and intercompany balances
• Prepare financial statements and supporting disclosures
• Liaise with internal and external auditors and assist with statutory/regulatory filings
• Perform variance analysis and provide commentary on deviations
• Extract and validate data from ERP systems for reporting

Ensure all entries are backed by appropriate documentation. General Ledger (GL) Accounting: Reconcile GL accounts to ensure accuracy. Identify and resolve discrepancies. Month-End / Quarter-End Close Activities: Support in closing books of accounts on a timely basis. Assist with accruals, prepayments, and provisions. Fixed Assets Accounting: Support the maintenance of the fixed asset register. Help with capitalization, depreciation, and disposals. Intercompany Transactions: Support in reconciling intercompany balances. Assist in processing intercompany invoices and settlements. Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Prepare or assist in preparing reconciliations for assigned accounts. Investigate and resolve reconciling items. External Reporting – Responsibilities Financial Statements: Assist in the preparation of financial statements in line with applicable reporting standards. Provide supporting documentation for disclosures. Audit Support: Liaise with internal and external auditors. Provide requested schedules, reconciliations, and documentation. Compliance Reporting: Support in preparing statutory reports and regulatory filings. Ensure timely submission of required reports to authorities. Variance Analysis: Help in performing variance analysis between actuals, budgets, and forecasts. Assist in preparing commentary and explanation for deviations. Data Compilation & Quality Checks: Extract financial data from ERP systems for reporting.
