Job summary

Hical Technologies Pvt Ltd in Bengaluru seeks an experienced professional for mechanical sourcing and should-costing. You will evaluate machining, forging, casting, and molding suppliers, perform competitive quotes, and apply GD&T to drawings and specs for cost optimization.

With 5–8 years in aerospace or related manufacturing, you will lead supplier interactions, drive cost reductions, and coordinate cross-functional teams to meet ambitious timelines.

Qualifications

• BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 5–8 years of experience in mechanical sourcing and should-costing.
• GD&T interpretation is mandatory.
• Aerospace manufacturing exposure is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of mechanical processes and parts to manage commodities end to end.
• Perform should-costing for Machining, Casting, Fabrication and Molding.
• Source, obtain and validate quotes within aggressive timelines.
• Apply GD&T knowledge in drawing/specification reviews.
• Review customer specifications, drawings for new products.
• Send and review supplier quotes to ensure on-time costing.
• Review BOM/costing and negotiate prices for bids.
• Conduct supplier meetings and visits.
• Identify suppliers to reduce single-source risk and drive cost reductions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers; lead a team when needed.

Qualification: BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering Experience: 5–8 years in mechanical sourcing and should-costing Core Training: Supplier NDA execution, pre-assessment & registration, supplier assessment and audit process, GD&T Preferred Exposure: Aerospace manufacturing industry

Technical & Commercial:

• Mechanical processes and parts: Machining, Fabrication, Casting, Molding, Heat & Surface Treatment
• Should-costing for Machining, Casting, Fabrication and Molding processes and parts
• GD&T interpretation (mandatory)
• Vendor identification, selection and development
• Sourcing strategy and RFQ / costing process
• Working knowledge of electrical & electronic commodity sourcing (added advantage)

• Source, obtain and validate competitive supplier quotes for Machining, Casting, Fabrication and Molding parts within aggressive timelines.
• Apply GD&T knowledge in the review of drawings and specifications.
• Review customer specifications, drawings and product requirements for new products.
• Send and review supplier quotes for new projects to ensure on-time completion of product costing.
• Review BOM and costing, and negotiate prices for bidding projects.
• Conduct supplier meetings and visits.
• Proactively identify suppliers to address single-source risk, drive cost reduction, and replace underperforming suppliers.
• Develop, establish and maintain strong business relationships with suppliers.
• Lead and coordinate a team as required.
