Job summary

Rotex in Vadodara, India is seeking a Sr.Engineer / Engineer – Sourcing & Vendor development to identify, evaluate, and select suppliers who can deliver quality goods and services for our automotive projects.

You will develop and maintain accurate Should Cost models, craft sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and monitor delivery performance while analyzing market trends to drive cost savings and continuous improvements across programs.

Qualifications

• Experience of sourcing / purchase / vendor development in Automotive industry
• Basic knowledge of documentation ( DFM / PFMEA / PPAP / APQP)
• Basic Knowledge of SPC / MSA / 7 QC tools
• Experience of costing of machining parts
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills
• Experience with supplier evaluation and selection processes
• Knowledge of market trends and supplier capabilities
• Ability to analyse data and make data-driven decisions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic knowledge in documentation as per IATF standard

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers and vendors to provide goods and services that meet the needs of the organization
• Develop and maintain accurate "Should Cost" models for various manufacturing processes, including NPD (New Product Development) and existing products
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies that meet the needs of the organization
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors based on factors such as cost, quality, and delivery
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and vendors to ensure favourable terms and conditions
• Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
• Analyse market trends and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
