Job summary

Y2G Energy Global in Kannur, Kerala, seeks a Solar Technical & Operations Executive to be the technical backbone of residential and commercial installations. You will conduct site surveys, coordinate with manufacturers, manage installation paperwork, and support day-to-day operations.

You’ll troubleshoot system issues, configure monitoring and firmware, and communicate clearly with clients in English and Malayalam. The role is on-site with regular travel within the region.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands-on experience in the solar industry (site survey, installation, or O&M).
• Diploma or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (or closely related field).
• Working knowledge of solar design/estimation tools (AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, or similar).
• Practical understanding of inverters, batteries, WiFi monitoring platforms, and firmware updates.

About the Role

Y2G Energy Global, a premium solar solutions company based in Kannur, is looking for a Solar Technical & Operations Executive to be the technical backbone of our residential and commercial installation business. You will handle site surveys, coordinate with manufacturers, manage installation paperwork and compliance, troubleshoot system issues, and support the day-to-day running of installation operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site solar surveys for residential and commercial projects — roof/shadow analysis, load assessment, and system sizing.
• Liaise with panel, inverter, and battery manufacturers on technical specifications, warranty claims, and order follow-ups.
• Prepare and manage installation paperwork: subsidy applications, net-metering documentation, compliance filings, and client handover documents.
• Support day-to-day operations of the installation team — scheduling, site coordination, and quality checks.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues across residential and commercial installations.
• Set up and configure WiFi-based monitoring systems for installed solar systems.
• Configure battery settings and carry out firmware upgrades on inverters and batteries.
• Use solar design tools for layout, shading, and yield estimation as needed.
• Act as the technical point of contact for customers, explaining system performance and resolving concerns in both English and Malayalam.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in the solar industry (site survey, installation, or O&M).
