Job Summary
We are looking a highly motivated and result-oriented Project Manager to lead and manage solar EPC projects, including grid-tied, off-grid, and micro-grid systems, from design to commissioning. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in handling multi-site solar projects, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with quality, cost, and timeline objectives. A strong grasp of project planning, procurement coordination, and Bill of Materials (BOM) creation is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the entire solar project lifecycle for grid-tied, off-grid, and micro-grid projects, including design, engineering, procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover.
- Prepare and validate the Bill of Materials (BOM) based on system design and project requirements.
- Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans and ensure timely execution within cost and quality benchmarks.
- Manage vendor coordination, material procurement, and logistics in alignment with project timelines.
- Oversee on-site teams and contractors, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards.
- Conduct regular project review meetings, risk assessments, and progress monitoring.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities for approvals, inspections, and CEIG/DISCOM compliance.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation, reporting, and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor cost control, inventory management, and project profitability metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement and ensure lessons learned are applied across projects.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Electrical / Energy Engineering or equivalent.
- 2 to 4 years of proven experience in Solar EPC project management (design to commissioning).
- Strong technical understanding of solar PV systems, BOM preparation, and electrical layouts.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage multiple vendors simultaneously.
- Excellent project planning, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Hands‑on experience in material procurement, vendor negotiations, and budget control.
- Proficiency in MS Project / Primavera, AutoCAD, and solar design tools.
- Familiarity with IS/IEC standards, CEIG/DISCOM approval procedures, and safety compliance.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
