Job summary

Sturlite India in Bengaluru invites an experienced Project Head to lead utility-scale, C&I, and rooftop Solar EPC projects from handover to commissioning.

You will sculpt execution plans, allocate resources, mitigate risks, and coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and O&M teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with top safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or related field.
• Masters degree preferred.
• PMP/PRINCE2 certification is an added advantage.
• 12–15 years of Solar EPC/renewable energy experience with leadership exposure.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of Solar EPC projects from engineering handover to commissioning and closure.
• Develop execution plans, schedules, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
• Manage multiple projects across locations with cross-functional coordination.
• Monitor timelines, budgets, productivity, and project performance.
• Ensure procurement and availability of materials and equipment on time.
• Oversee site mobilization, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Ensure compliance with specs, contracts, regulations, and safety standards.
• Drive profitability by controlling costs and optimizing resources.
• Lead reviews with stakeholders and customers; mentor PM teams.

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Project Head to lead the execution of utility-scale, C&I, and rooftop solar projects from project handover to commissioning. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in project planning, execution, resource management, client coordination, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of Solar EPC projects from engineering handover to commissioning and project closure.
• Develop project execution plans, schedules, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Manage multiple solar projects simultaneously across different locations.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and O&M teams for seamless project execution.
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, productivity, and overall project performance.
• Ensure timely procurement and availability of project materials and equipment.
• Lead project review meetings with internal stakeholders and customers.
• Oversee site mobilization, construction activities, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual obligations, statutory regulations, and safety standards.
• Drive project profitability by monitoring costs, reducing delays, and optimizing resources.
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and EPC partners.
• Review and approve project documentation including DPRs, progress reports, billing, variation orders, and MIS reports.
• Resolve technical, commercial, and contractual issues during project execution.
• Build and mentor high-performing project management teams.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication and timely project delivery.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.

Masters degree is preferred.

PMP/PRINCE2 certification will be an added advantage.

Experience Required

• 12 to 15 years of experience in Solar EPC / Renewable Energy projects.
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership role managing large-scale solar projects.
• Hands-on experience in Utility Scale Solar, C&I Solar, Ground Mounted Solar, and Rooftop Solar projects.
• Experience in managing projects from inception to commissioning is mandatory.
