CORPORATE TRAINER
1. Position Details
Designation: Corporate Trainer
Department: Training & Development / HR
Reporting To: Head HR / Management
Location: Bengaluru
Employment Type: Full-Time
2. Job Purpose
The Corporate Trainer will be responsible for identifying training requirements, designing training programs, delivering effective learning sessions, evaluating employee performance and maintaining training records.
The role involves developing employees' technical, functional, behavioural, communication, managerial and professional competencies in alignment with organisational requirements and Management objectives.
3. Key Responsibilities
A. Training Needs Identification
- Identify training and development requirements across departments.
- Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) based on employee performance, skill gaps, departmental requirements and Management directions.
- Coordinate with Department Heads and Team Leaders to identify competency gaps.
- Recommend appropriate training interventions for identified skill gaps.
- Maintain a structured annual/monthly training calendar.
B. Training Program Development
- Design structured training programs based on organisational requirements.
- Prepare training materials, presentations, handbooks, exercises, case studies and assessments.
- Develop department-specific and role-specific training modules.
- Continuously update training content based on changes in technology, processes, SOPs and business requirements.
- Ensure training materials are practical, relevant and easy to understand.
C. Training Delivery
- Conduct classroom, online and workshop-based training sessions.
- Deliver induction and orientation programs for new employees.
- Conduct communication, behavioural, leadership, customer service, productivity and professional-skills training.
- Conduct process/SOP training in coordination with respective Department Heads.
- Ensure training sessions are interactive and participation is encouraged.
- Handle employees at different levels and learning capabilities effectively.
D. Employee Induction & Onboarding Training
- Conduct structured induction programs for newly joined employees.
- Explain company policies, procedures, work culture, professional conduct and applicable systems.
- Coordinate with HR and concerned departments for role-specific onboarding.
- Ensure new employees complete mandatory training within the prescribed timeline.
- Maintain induction and training completion records.
E. Assessment & Evaluation
- Prepare tests, quizzes, practical assessments and evaluation methods.
- Conduct pre-training and post-training assessments wherever applicable.
- Measure employee understanding and training effectiveness.
