About the Role

We are looking for a creative, energetic and result-oriented Social Media Manager to manage and grow the online presence of The Banaras Legacy across social media and digital platforms.

The candidate will be responsible for creating engaging content, managing social media pages, promoting our sarees, suits and lehengas, increasing brand visibility and generating customer enquiries and sales through digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

1. Social Media Management

• Manage the company's Instagram, Facebook and YouTube accounts.
• Develop and execute a monthly social media content calendar.
• Create and publish Reels, Posts, Stories, Shorts and promotional content.
• Write attractive captions, hashtags and product descriptions.
• Maintain a consistent premium and heritage-oriented brand image.
• Monitor comments, messages and customer enquiries and respond promptly.

2. Content Creation

• Plan and coordinate photography and video shoots for sarees, suits and lehengas.
• Create engaging Reels and short-form videos showcasing products, designs, fabrics and collections.
• Develop content around Banarasi heritage, weaving, craftsmanship and fashion trends.
• Coordinate with photographers, videographers, graphic designers and showroom staff when required.
• Identify trending audio, formats and content ideas suitable for the brand.

3. Digital Marketing

• Plan and execute social media promotional campaigns.
• Assist in managing Instagram/Facebook paid advertising campaigns.
• Track campaign performance and suggest improvements.
• Generate enquiries and potential customers through digital channels.
• Monitor competitors and identify new digital marketing opportunities.

4. E-Commerce & Online Sales Support

• Manage product listings on the company's website and e-commerce/social commerce platforms.
• Upload product photographs, descriptions, prices and other product information.
• Coordinate with the sales team for online customer enquiries and orders.
• Maintain updated online product catalogues.
• Assist in promoting products through WhatsApp Business and other digital channels.

5. WhatsApp & Customer Engagement

• Manage WhatsApp Business communication and product catalogues.
• Create promotional messages for new collections, offers and festive campaigns.
• Build and maintain customer engagement through digital platforms.
• Maintain a database of digital enquiries and follow up with the sales team.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.
• Strong understanding of Reels and short-form video content.
• Basic knowledge of Meta Business Suite and social media advertising.
• Good photography/video shooting and editing skills.
• Knowledge of tools such as Canva, CapCut, Photoshop or similar software will be an advantage.
• Good communication and creative writing skills.
• Understanding of fashion, sarees, ethnic wear and e-commerce will be an advantage.
• Ability to identify social media trends and create relevant content.
• Good coordination and time-management skills.

Preferred Candidate

• 2-5 years of experience in social media management, preferably in fashion, ethnic wear, retail, textile or e-commerce.
• Candidates with strong practical knowledge of Instagram Reels and content creation may also be considered.
• A creative portfolio or previous social media work will be preferred.
