Job summary

Bahwan CyberTek in Pune is seeking a 4+ year ETL engineer to build and optimize data pipelines using Matillion ETL for Snowflake.

You will apply advanced SQL, design dimensional models, and drive ETL/ELT processes to ingest data from REST APIs, flat files, and relational databases, with Python scripting for custom components.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building production pipelines in Matillion ETL for Snowflake or Matillion Data Productivity Cloud.
• Snowflake expertise: warehouses, micro-partitioning, Streams, Tasks, Time Travel, cost/performance.
• Advanced SQL skills: joins, window functions, and query performance tuning.
• Data modeling: star/snowflake schemas and Slowly Changing Dimensions patterns.
• ETL/ELT design: integrate data from relational DBs, REST, files, and cloud storage into Snowflake.
• Cloud platforms: hands-on with AWS, Azure, or GCP where Snowflake/Matillion operate.
• Python or scripting for custom Matillion components and automation.

Responsibilities

Job description

• 4+ years of hands-on experience building production pipelines in Matillion ETL for Snowflake and/or Matillion Data Productivity Cloud (orchestration jobs, transformation jobs, shared jobs, variables, and components).
• Snowflake Expertise: Strong working knowledge of Snowflake architecture virtual warehouses, micro-partitioning, Streams, Tasks, Dynamic Tables, Time Travel, and cost/performance optimization.
• SQL: Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, window functions, and query performance tuning.
• Data Modeling: Solid understanding of dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, and Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD) patterns.
• ETL/ELT Design: Experience integrating data from relational databases, REST APIs, flat files, and cloud storage into Snowflake via Matillion.
• Cloud Platforms: Working knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) where Snowflake and Matillion are deployed.
• Scripting: Practical Python or scripting experience for custom components, automation, or advanced transformations within Matillion.
