Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Snowflake/Data Engineering specialist to design and implement modern cloud data pipelines using Snowflake SQL and DBT.

You will work with advanced Snowflake concepts, optimize performance, and help migrate on-prem workloads to Snowflake Cloud, delivering scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with Snowflake SQL for ELT pipelines.
• Hands-on with Snowflake utilities and DBT.
• Proficiency in Datastage.
• Ability to tune query performance in Snowflake.
• Experience migrating on-prem data to Snowflake using DBT.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage Snowflake ELT pipelines using DBT and Snowflake SQL.
• Leverage SnowSQL and Datastage to support data workflows.
• Implement resource monitors, RBAC, and warehouse sizing for performance.
• Resolve complex data pipeline issues using DBT.
• Lead end-to-end Snowflake cloud DW implementation and migration from on-premises.
• Enable data sharing and review architectural solutions for migration strategies.

Job description

1. Expertise in Snowflake - ELT using Snowflake SQL, implementing complex stored Procedures and build data pipelines using DBT(Data Build Tool)

2. Hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities, SnowSQL, DBT and Datastage

1- Work with Snowflake advanced concepts like setting up resource monitors, RBAC controls, virtual warehouse sizing, query performance tuning, Zero copy clone and understand how to use these features

2- Ability to provide resolution to an extensive range of complicated data pipeline related problems using DBT

3- Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management

4- Ability to drive end to end implementation of Snowflake cloud data warehouse and migrate/transform on-premise DW on any ETL platform to Snowflake Cloud with DBT

5- Expertise in deploying Snowflake features such as data sharing to enable data consumption from Cloud

6- Review the architectural/ technological solutions for ongoing projects and work with required tech leads to adopt to the data migration strategies and share best practices
