Job summary

Syngenta Group in India seeks an Urdu-language accounting specialist to join the Invoice to Pay (I2P) team. You will process Urdu and English invoices, verify documents, and support month-end activities while ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

The role requires fluent Urdu and English, a finance degree (B.Com/M.Com/MBA Finance) and 3–5 years in an MNC, shared services, or BPO environment with exposure to finance processes. Onsite Pune location.

Qualifications

• Urdu language proficiency – Speak, Read, and Write (mandatory).
• Bachelor/Master in Finance or related; CA not required.
• 3–5 years in an MNC, Shared Services, or BPO with finance exposure.
• Ability to interpret and process financial documents in Urdu and English.
• Familiarity with Invoice to Pay processes and controls.

To support this mission, we are looking for a Urdu language expert with an accounting background to join our Invoice to Pay (I2P) team. This role requires strong Urdu language proficiency to manage invoice processing, vendor communications, and financial document validation for finance operations. You will serve as the Urdu-language point of contact, ensuring accurate interpretation and processing of accounting documents in Urdu and English.

Accountabilities:

• Invoice & Payment Processing: Process vendor invoices, payment runs, and Travel & Expense claims in Urduand English, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Document Verification & Compliance: Review, translate, and validate Urdu-language accounting documents, tax invoices, and statutory records to ensure compliance withregulations.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary Urdu-language contact for vendor queries, exception resolution, and coordination withstakeholders.
• Month-End Support & Audit Readiness: Assist with closing activities, reconciliations, and audit documentation requiring Urdulanguage interpretation.

Required Qualifications:

• Urdulanguage proficiency – Speak, Read, and Write (mandatory)
• B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification
• 3–5 years of experience in an MNC, Shared Services, or BPO environment with exposure to finance/accounting processes
• Ability to interpret and process financial documents in both Urduand English
• Working knowledge of Invoice to Pay processes (invoice processing, exception handling, payments, T&E)
• Clear written and verbal communication skills in Urduand English
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to independently handle queries

Desired Qualifications:

• Prior experience with SAP ERP and VIM (Vendor Invoice Management) tool
• Familiarity with tax regulations (VAT, withholding tax, tax invoices)
• Experience in accounts payable or general accounting roles
• Exposure to process improvement or automation initiatives within finance operations
