Job summary

Syngenta in Pune seeks a Russian language expert with an accounting background to join the Invoice to Pay (I2P) team. You will manage vendor invoices, translate and validate accounting documents in Russian and English, and ensure compliance with Russian regulations.

You will serve as the primary Russian-language contact for vendors and Russia-based stakeholders, handling invoice processing, exception resolution, and T&E/documents for accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Russian language proficiency required (speaking, reading, writing).
• Finance/accounting background with 3–5 years in an MNC, shared services, or BPO.
• Ability to interpret and process financial documents in Russian and English.
• Knowledge of Invoice to Pay processes (invoice processing, exception handling, payments, T&E).
• Strong written and verbal Russian/English communication.
• Detail-oriented with ability to independently handle queries.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and payment runs in Russian and English.
• Validate accounting documents and ensure compliance with Russian regulations.
• Act as the primary Russian-language contact for vendor queries and Russia-based stakeholders.
• Assist with month-end close and audit readiness requiring Russian language interpretation.

To support this mission, we are looking for a Russian language expert with an accounting background to join our Invoice to Pay (I2P) team. This role requires strong Russian language proficiency to manage invoice processing, vendor communications, and financial document validation for Russia operations. You will serve as the Russian‑language point of contact, ensuring accurate interpretation and processing of accounting documents in Russian and English.

Accountabilities

• Invoice & Payment Processing: Process vendor invoices, payment runs, and Travel & Expense claims in Russian and English, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Document Verification & Compliance: Review, translate, and validate Russian‑language accounting documents, tax invoices, and statutory records to ensure compliance with Russian regulations.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary Russian‑language contact for vendor queries, exception resolution, and coordination with Russia‑based stakeholders.
• Month‑End Support & Audit Readiness: Assist with closing activities, reconciliations, and audit documentation requiring Russian language interpretation.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Russian language proficiency - Speak, Read, and Write (mandatory)
• B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification3‑5 years of experience in an MNC, Shared Services, or BPO environment with exposure to finance/accounting processes
• Ability to interpret and process financial documents in both Russian and English
• Working knowledge of Invoice to Pay processes (invoice processing, exception handling, payments, T&E)
• Clear written and verbal communication skills in Russian and English
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to independently handle queries

Desired Qualifications

• Prior experience with SAP ERP and VIM (Vendor Invoice Management) tool
• Familiarity with Russian tax regulations (VAT, withholding tax, tax invoices)
• Experience in accounts payable or general accounting roles
• Exposure to process improvement or automation initiatives within finance operations
