Job summary

Prima Prefab seeks an experienced site supervisor to oversee day-to-day activities across project sites in Gujarat. You will ensure work aligns with architectural and structural drawings, coordinate with labour and sub-contractors, and manage material flow to prevent delays.

The role requires strong communication in Gujarati/Hindi, comfort being on-site, and willingness to travel to project locations with occasional stays. A two-wheeler is preferred.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day work at project sites, including foundation, steel or LGSF structure erection, panel installation, roofing, and finishing
• Read and follow architectural and structural drawings, and make sure work is built exactly as per the drawings
• Manage site labor, fabricators, and sub-contractors (civil, electrical, plumbing, painting), and plan their daily work
• Make sure the site follows the project schedule, and raise delays early with the Project Manager
• Check that all material reaching site matches the challan and PO, and record shortages or damage
• Send material requirements to the Purchase team in advance, so work never stops for lack of material
• Check quality at every stage, including alignment, levels, bolting and welding, panel joints, and waterproofing
• Enforce site safety: PPE, safe working at height, and keeping the site clean
• Share a daily progress report with photos with the Project Manager on WhatsApp
• Install and finish factory-made modular cabins on site
• Coordinate with the clients representative on site, and handle minor site queries
• Prepare snag lists before handover, and get every point closed

Preferred candidate profile

• 13 years of site supervision in steel structure, PEB, prefab, LGSF, or industrial shed projects
• Able to read structural and architectural drawings comfortably
• Experience handling labour teams and sub-contractors independently
• Basic knowledge of measurements, levelling instruments, and quality checks
• Comfortable working on site and travelling to project locations across Gujarat, with outstation stays when needed
• Able to use a smartphone for WhatsApp updates, photos, and simple reports
• Good communication in Gujarati and Hindi. Working English is a plus.
• Owning a two-wheeler is preferred
• Disciplined, punctual, and able to work without constant supervision
