Job summary

Prima Prefab in Gujarat is seeking a procurement professional to manage vendor communication for factory and site projects. You will source core materials, prepare MRP from BOQs, float RFQs, negotiate quotes, and issue POs to ensure timely delivery.

You will track POs through to delivery, coordinate logistics to project sites across Gujarat, verify incoming materials, and maintain vendor records, rate contracts, and GST-compliant documentation. Fluency in Gujarati/Hindi/English is preferred.

Qualifications

• 24 years in purchase/procurement in construction, steel structures, PEB, prefab, or related manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Own all vendor communication and procurement for factory and site projects.
• Source and buy core materials, including: LGSF sections, MS/GI steel, and fasteners; PUf and sandwich panels; doors and finishes.
• Prepare material requirement plans from BOQs and drawings, coordinating with production and project teams.
• Float RFQs, compare quotes from at least 3 vendors, negotiate price and payment terms, and issue POs.
• Track every PO through to delivery and coordinate dispatch and logistics to sites across Gujarat.
• Check incoming material against PO quantity and spec, with stores and QC.
• Keep procurement records, vendor database, rate contracts, and GST-compliant documentation.

  • LGSF sections, MS/GI steel, and fasteners
  • PUF and sandwich panels, V-panels, and cement boards
  • Doors, aluminium windows, sanitaryware, plumbing and electrical items, paints, and finishes
• Prepare material requirement plans from BOQs and drawings, working with production and project teams
• Float RFQs, compare at least 3 quotes, negotiate price and payment terms, and issue POs
• Track every PO through to delivery, and coordinate dispatch and logistics to the factory and to project sites across Gujarat
• Check incoming material against PO quantity and specification, together with stores and QC
• Keep procurement records, vendor database, rate contracts, and GST-compliant documentation in order

Preferred candidate profile

• 24 years in purchase or procurement in construction, steel structures, PEB, prefab, or a related manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge of steel products, building materials, and construction finishes
• Ability to read drawings and BOQs and to work out material quantities
• Strong negotiation skills and an existing vendor network in Gujarat
• Working knowledge of GST, e-way bills, and purchase documentation
• Proficiency in MS Excel. Experience with ERP or Tally is a plus.
• Good communication in Gujarati, Hindi, and English
• Organised and self-driven, able to work independently with little supervision
