Walls & Bridges India Pvt. Ltd. (WBIPL) is seeking a Site Engineer to oversee construction activities at project sites in Bhandara, Nagpur district.

You will ensure adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations while coordinating with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to drive smooth execution of bridges and infrastructure works. The role focuses on supervision, documentation, and reporting.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Diploma in Civil Engineering with relevant experience may be considered.
• 2-5 years of site execution experience in bridges, steel structures, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience in fabrication, erection, and structural work is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site activities and ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and safety norms.
• Monitor civil, structural, and geotechnical work progress to ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate with Project Manager, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports and handover documentation.

Job Description Site Engineer

Job Summary

The Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing construction activities at project sites, ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. The role involves coordinating with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth execution of infrastructure projects, including bridges, steel structures, and geotechnical works.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Supervision & Execution

• Oversee day-to-day site activities and ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and safety norms.
• Monitor civil, structural, and geotechnical work progress and ensure timely completion.
• Ensure all construction materials and workmanship meet quality standards and project requirements.
• Assist in surveying, leveling, and layout planning for accurate execution.

2. Coordination & Communication

• Work closely with the Project Manager, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
• Coordinate with design teams to clarify drawing specifications and changes, if needed.
• Maintain effective communication between site teams, vendors, and company management.

3. Quality Control & Safety Compliance

• Conduct quality checks and inspections for reinforcement, concrete work, and steel fabrication.
• Ensure HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) protocols are strictly followed at the site.
• Report any non-compliance or safety hazards and take corrective action.

4. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports and submit them to senior management.
• Maintain proper records of work progress, material usage, and site issues.
• Assist in preparing as-built drawings and handover documentation.

Qualifications & Skills

Education

• B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Diploma in Civil Engineering with relevant experience may also be considered.

Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in site execution for bridges, steel structures, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience in fabrication, erection, and structural work is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and MS Office.
• Knowledge of Indian Standard Codes (IS), IRC, and relevant engineering practices.
• Familiarity with surveying instruments like Total Station, Theodolite, and GPS.
