Job Description
Position: Site Engineer
Role Objective
The Site Engineer will be responsible for on-site execution, supervision, and quality control of solar EPC projects, ensuring timely delivery in line with approved designs, safety standards, and SunShell Powers execution protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- 1. Supervise and execute installation activities for solar projects (rooftop and ground-mounted).
- 2. Coordinate with EPC teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth site operations.
- 3. Ensure execution strictly as per approved drawings, technical specifications, and project schedules.
- 4. Monitor civil, structural, and electrical works related to solar installations.
- 5. Enforce site safety standards and SunShell Powers quality and compliance protocols.
- 6. Conduct regular site inspections, measurements, and progress tracking.
- 7. Identify and resolve on-site technical issues; elevate critical matters to the Project Manager on time.
- 8. Maintain daily site reports, material consumption records, and manpower logs.
- 9. Coordinate with design and procurement teams for drawings, BOQs, and timely material availability.
- 10. Support testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
- 11. Liaise with clients, inspectors, and local authorities as required at site level.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- 1. Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
- 2. Prior experience in solar EPC projects preferred.
- 3. Working knowledge of:
- Solar PV systems
- Modules, inverters, mounting structures, and DC/AC cabling
- Electrical systems, earthings, and safety norms
- 4. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and layouts.
- 5. Strong coordination and on-site communication skills.
- 6. Willingness to travel and work at multiple project locations.
- 7. Basic proficiency in MS Excel and site reporting tools.
