Job Description: Site Engineer (Solar C&I Projects)
Position: Site Engineer Solar EPC (Rooftop & Ground-Mounted C&I Projects)
Location: Delhi
Reporting To: Project Manager
Travel: Frequent travel/long site postings expected.
Role Objective
To supervise and execute on-site installation of solar EPC projects, ensuring quality, safety, and timely progress as per design and project plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Supervision & Execution – Oversee daily installation activities (module mounting, structure erection, cabling, inverter & LT/HT panels, earthing, etc.). Coordinate with subcontractors, technicians, and labour teams for smooth execution. Verify work against drawings and BOQ.
- Quality & Safety – Ensure compliance with safety protocols, PPE usage, and safe installation practices. Conduct on-site quality checks and inspection of materials and workmanship. Maintain site checklists, quality reports, and handover documentation.
- Material & Resource Management – Track and manage receipt of materials at site; maintain stock records. Raise material indents/requirements to PM on time. Minimize wastage and optimize resource utilization.
- Coordination & Reporting – Act as the first point of contact for day‑to‑day site issues. Provide daily/weekly progress updates to the Project Manager. Assist in site measurements, billing verification, and client inspections.
- Testing & Commissioning Support – Support pre‑commissioning tests (continuity, insulation resistance, string testing, etc.). Assist in synchronisation with grid/discom approvals. Ensure smooth site handover to O&M team.
Desired Profile
- Education: Diploma / B.E. in Electrical / Mechanical / Civil.
- Experience: 2–5 years for Diploma holders, 1–3 years for Engineers. Hands‑on exposure to solar project installation (rooftop or ground‑mounted).
- Skills: Good knowledge of solar electrical systems (DC, AC, LT/HT interface). Ability to read drawings (civil, structural, electrical). Vendor/subcontractor coordination. Strong problem‑solving and site communication.

- Adherence to site schedule (actual vs. planned progress).
- Safety compliance (zero accidents).
- Quality compliance (snag‑free execution).
- Material reconciliation accuracy.
- Client/PM satisfaction with site execution.

Salary – Up to 7 LPA
Site allowances, travel reimbursement, and stay/food at project site extra.
Diploma Engineers and Graduate Engineers compensation will be commensurate with industry standards.
