Job summary

Cyient in Hyderabad is seeking a cost engineering professional with 5-8 years of shop-floor experience to lead should-costing, design-to-cost and NPI cost analytics. You will evaluate alternate manufacturing technologies and materials, optimize processes, benchmark against targets, and apply DFMA concepts with a focus on cost competitiveness.

Proficiency in costing tools and teamwork with design, procurement and production teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in mechanical/electro mechanical engineering is required.
• Minimum 5-8 years of shop floor experience on process costing is mandatory.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Carry out should costing and Design to Cost analysis for New Product Introduction (NPI) and Legacy.
• Identify alternate manufacturing technologies and alternate materials.
• Recommend improvements to cost competitiveness.
• Experience in product estimation and costing tools will be an added advantage.

Job description

Good exposure in manufacturing technologies like Plastics, Sheet metal, Casting, Injection molding, forging and fabrication

Knowledge of Mirror/ Optics design & costing

Knowledge/ relevant work experience in PCB / PCBA / Harness / Sensors Costing

Knowledge of Heat & Surface Treatments process/ costing

Should able to identify alternate manufacturing technologies and alternate materials.

Should be good at Optimizing the best manufacturing process techniques.

-Strong background in VAVE & bench marking.

Knowledge on conventional and CNC machines, manufacturing processes & time calculations.

Experience in product estimation and costing tools like DFMA, Costimator, SEER Galorath & aPriori will be added advantage.

Carryout should costing and Design to Cost analysis for New Product Introduction (NPI) and Legacy

Recommend improvements to cost competitiveness.
