Job summary

SAAKSHI MEDTECH AND PANELS LTD seeks a Development & costing Engineer to guide new product development from concept through mass production. You will design, review, and refine prototypes, plan materials and processes, and ensure manufacturability and cost targets are met across laser cutting, bending, welding, and powder coating.

Key responsibilities include creating BOMs, managing NPD projects end-to-end, and communicating with customers to align timelines and quality objectives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in mechanical development and costing.
• Education: BE Mechanical or DME.
• Skills in NPD, process engineering and fabrication in sheet metal; experience with SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver key milestones for new projects from concept to mass production.
• Perform design reviews for product development and prototype stages.
• Plan materials and manufacturing processes for projects.
• Communicate effectively with customers.
• Create Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Ensure designs are manufacturable with processes like laser cutting, bending, welding, powder coating.
• Manage NPD projects from concept through launch.
• Create project timelines, track progress and ensure deadlines and quality targets are met.
• Estimate cost and lead time for NPD and manufacturing.
• Optimize designs for cost-effectiveness.

• 1. Responsible for key deliverables for new projects from concepts phase to mass production.
• 2. Design review for product development and prototype development.
• 3. Plan for material and manufacturing process.
• 4. Effective communication with customers.
• 5. Create Bill of Material
• 6. Ensure designs are feasible for manufacturing processes like laser cutting, bending, welding, powder coating etc.
• 7. Manage NPD projects from concept through launch.
• 8. Create project timelines, track progress amd ensure deadlines and quality taragets are met.
• 9. Estimate cost and lead time for NPD and manufacturing.
• 10. Optimize designs for cost- effectiveness.

*Requirements:

• 1. *Experience*: 3+ years in (Mechanical Development and costing )
• 2. *Education*: BE Mechanical/DME
• 3. *Skills*: Professional experience in NPD, Process engineerig and Fabrication process in Sheet Metal domain for all NPD and using Solid works software.
