Job summary

A2MAC1 in India is seeking a cost engineer for product development and cost optimization, focusing on cost parameters, DtC/VAVE ideas, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will generate technical insights, perform BOM cost calculations, and coordinate with internal teams to meet target costs while maintaining quality standards. Strong communication in English and hands-on experience with electronics manufacturing processes are valued.

Qualifications

• More than 2 years experience in product development and cost engineering.
• Experience with BOM cost calculation and VAVE (DtC/VAVE) methods.
• Proficient in English (written and spoken).
• Bachelor or higher degree in electronics or a related area.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes like casting, machining, stamping, injection molding, and assembly.

Responsibilities and duties

1.Complete and report relevant analysis reports according to customer requirements

2.Research and investigate cost parameters and technical parameters

3.Execute product cost calculation and provide cost optimization ideas or target cost

4.Timely coordinate to solve problems to ensure project normal delivery

KEY MEASURES & INDICATORS (main KPIs used in the role)

1.Generate technical insights report, costing calculation and report, DtC/VAVE ideas and report as per the tasks assigned by manager and according to required quality standards

1.More than 2 years experience/knowledge of Cluster/Infotainment/Displays & Technologies like PCB, PCBA, Active /Passive Electronics components, Casting, machining, Stamping, Injection molding, Assembly in the function of Product Development, Cost Engineering, Purchasing, SQE/STA, Lean Manufacturing or Value Engineering;

2.Experience on BOM cost calculation, DtC/VAVE from supply chain, material and manufacturing process;

3.English written & oral, overseas study experience is a plus;

4.Bachelor or above degree in electronics or related area;

5.Good communication skills and teamwork spirit;

6.Strong adaptability and flexibility, innovative spirit;
