Job summary

Infosys in Bengaluru, India is seeking a cost engineering professional to perform product teardown and should-cost analysis for automotive and energy equipment and tooling costs. The role leads VAVE workshops and collaborates with design, sourcing, and suppliers to optimize product cost.

The candidate will support new product development with early cost estimation, analyse supplier quotes and manufacturing processes for cost validation, and drive supply chain cost reduction and localization

Qualifications

• 3–8 years in cost engineering
• Strong knowledge of electromechanical systems and manufacturing processes
• Experience in costing of mechanical parts & assemblies including stamping, injection molding, die casting, forging, machining and finishing
• Experience with VAVE, cost modeling tools, and supplier negotiations
• Familiarity with COTS tools like Siemens TcPCM, aPriori, SEER

Perform Product Teardown & Should-cost analysis for Automotive / Energy equipments & Tool/ Dies/Mold Costing etc.

• Lead VAVE workshops to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Collaborate with design, sourcing, and suppliers to optimize product cost
• Support new product development with early cost estimation
• Analyze supplier quotes and manufacturing processes for cost validation
• Drive supply chain cost reduction and localization strategies B.E./B. Tech in Mechanicalor Industrial Engineering
• 3–8 years in cost engineering, preferably in automotive, Medical or energy domains
• Strong knowledge of electromechanical systems and manufacturing processes
• Experience in costing of mechanical parts & assemblies involving stamping, injection molding, die casting, forging, machining and secondary finishing processes etc...
• Experience with VAVE, cost modeling tools, and supplier negotiations
• Familiarity working on COTS tools like Siemens TcPCM, aPriori, SEER etc...
