Job summary

Freudenberg Group in India invites a Mechanical Engineer with 2–5 years of experience to join our manufacturing team in Morinda. You will participate in in-process rejection review, coordinate with operators, and drive corrective actions to reduce defects and optimize production flow.

The role emphasizes safety, 5-S housekeeping, tool and mold layout improvements, kaizen opportunities, and on-the-job training to empower operators and shift supervisors while maintaining inventory and cost

Qualifications

• B.E. (Mechanical)
• 2-5 years professional experience.

Responsibilities

• In-process rejection review and daily meetings with operators and shift supervisors to reduce defects and achieve target of 0.5%.
• Identify accidents and unsafe conditions and implement corrective actions.
• Layout changes and tool/mold improvements for smooth part introduction into production.
• Identify kaizens and improvements; guide teams to achieve targets.
• Authority to stop shipment and stop production to correct quality problems.
• Maintain optimized in-process inventory of moulded parts, WIP and assembly parts; drive cost reduction on shop floor.
• Maintain good housekeeping and 5-S zones on the shop floor; impart on-the-job training.

Responsibilities:

In process rejection review, daily meeting with operators, jumpers, shift supervisors to take corrective and preventive actions to further reduce it (to achieve company target of 0.5%).
Accidents and unsafe coditions identification and taking Corrective/ preventive actions for the same.
Layout changes, customized improvements in tools, moulds for smooth introduction of parts in production.
Identify potential kaizens, SGIA, improvements, guiding and motivating teams to achieve the same.
Authority to stop shipment and stop production to correct quality problem
To maintain optimised inprocess inventory of moulded parts, WIP, child parts for assembly operations and cost reduction on shop floor.
To maintain good housekeeping, creation of different zones in production department for visible 5-S on shop floor.
Imparting Continuous on the job training
