Job summary

Vibracoustic India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 2–5 years of professional experience to join our manufacturing team.

The role emphasizes in-process quality control, corrective actions, and improvements in layout and tooling to enable smooth production of parts. Responsibilities include stopping shipments or production when needed to address quality issues and maintaining lean inventory while promoting 5S on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical required.
• 2–5 years of professional experience desired.
• Experience in manufacturing/assembly environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review in-process rejection with operators and supervisors and implement corrective actions to reduce defects.
• Identify accidents and unsafe conditions and take preventive actions.
• Suggest layout changes and tool/mold improvements for smooth part introductions.
• Identify kaizens and improvements and guide teams to achieve targets.
• Authority to stop shipments and production to correct quality issues.
• Maintain optimized in-process inventory (moulded parts, WIP, sub-assemblies) and reduce costs.
• Promote 5S on shop floor with zone creation and good housekeeping.
• Provide continuous on-the-job training to staff.

Responsibilities:

• In process rejection review, daily meeting with operators, jumpers, shift supervisors to take corrective and preventive actions to further reduce it (to achieve company target of 0.5%).
• Accidents and unsafe coditions identification and taking Corrective/ preventive actions for the same.
• Layout changes, customized improvements in tools, moulds for smooth introduction of parts in production.
• Identify potential kaizens, SGIA, improvements, guiding and motivating teams to achieve the same.
• Authority to stop shipment and stop production to correct quality problem.
• To maintain optimised inprocess inventory of moulded parts, WIP, child parts for assembly operations and cost reduction on shop floor.
• To maintain good housekeeping, creation of different zones in production department for visible 5-S on shop floor.
• Imparting Continuous on the job training.
