JobItUs in Mundra, Gujarat, invites applications for a Shift Incharge - Production who brings 9–12 years of chemical industry experience. You will ensure production plans align with batch cycles, follow SOPs, and supervise the shop floor to meet targets set by the Production Head.

Key duties include rescheduling activities, coordinating with stores, maintenance and dispatch, training staff, ensuring safety, and achieving minimal final-product rejection while optimizing resources.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E/B.Tech in Chemical is required.
• 9-12 years of experience in chemical production is expected.
• Candidate should be able to lead a production team and ensure adherence to SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to production plan as per batch cycle and schedule.
• Manage and guide production team to achieve targets set by Production Head.
• Reschedule shop floor activities as per production plan changes.
• Coordinate with stores, maintenance and dispatch to ensure material flow and timely production.
• Train subordinates and conduct performance appraisals.
• Maintain safety and compliance on the plant floor.
• Prepare daily production plan and status reports.

Job description

Position: Shift Incharge - Production

Location: Mundra - Kutch

Experience: 9 - 12 Years

Industries Chemical - MNC

Responsibilities:

• To ensure adherence to production plan as per the batch cycle and check the production plan with respect to the schedule
• To ensure production as per standard operating procedures
• To manage and guide the production team to achieve the targets set by the Production Manager / Head- Production :
• Rescheduling shop floor activities as per the change in production plan
• Planning for the manpower requirements to accomplish the production targets on schedule
• Manage the inventory of intermediates and stock reconciliation to minimize the chances of stock out
• Ensuring the use of calibrated equipments at the Plant and their proper handling to minimize downtime
• Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems
• To plan and coordinate with:
• Stores department on raw material status in relation with the plan and rescheduling if need be
• Maintenance department on routine, preventive & breakdown maintenance and to schedule shutdown
• Dispatch department on prioritising batches & their size and in an emergency which calls for reproduction
• To train subordinates both on the job and during team meetings and conduct their performance appraisals
• To make entries of daily activities to provide all the necessary data relating to Plant for statistical analysis
• To handle non-conforming products as per the suggestions passed on by the Production Head
• To ensure proper safety measures/procedures are taken/followed at all times in Plant
• To prepare and submit daily production plan and status reports to the Production Head
• On time production status and achieving maximum production level as per fixed targets
• Ensure process compliance and follow all the statutory norms and safety norms
• Manage people at the shop floor
• Ensure less than 3% of rejection of the final product
• Optimal utilization of all resources
