Job summary

CIEL HR seeks a Senior Production Officer for its Dahej, Gujarat site. The role requires 10–15 years in production/process operations with a focus on batch manufacturing and plant/equipment operation. Diploma in Chemical / ITI is preferred. Shift work is involved.

You will lead day-to-day operations, coordinate with Maintenance, Planning, Logistics and Production, maintain SAP records, and ensure safety, SOP compliance and proper handovers.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Chemical or ITI is required.
• 10–15 years of production/process operations experience.
• Experience in chemical batch manufacturing preferred.
• Experience in shift operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor plant, equipment and site services safely and efficiently.
• Handle loading, unloading and packing of materials.
• Follow SOPs, work instructions, safety procedures and permit requirements.
• Manage day-to-day batch manufacturing operations.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Planning, Logistics and Production teams.
• Plan shift activities and ensure smooth shift handover.
• Identify and resolve routine plant/process operational issues.
• Maintain production records in SAP/computer systems.
• Perform sampling and basic analytical testing as required.
• Carry out basic maintenance activities or prepare equipment for maintenance.
• Ensure plant/equipment housekeeping and health.
• Follow SHE, risk assessment, incident reporting and emergency procedures.
• Suggest and implement safety and operational efficiency improvements.
• Train and coach new operators/recruits.
• Take ownership of assigned plant/equipment.
