Job summary

Asian Paints Limited in Tamil Nadu is seeking a Shift Operations Supervisor to oversee continuous production processes, ensure SOP compliance, quality and EHS standards, and meet monthly targets.

You will coordinate with maintenance, planning, safety teams, and handle process deviations with basic troubleshooting while managing direct reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering (required).
• 3–4 years of industrial production experience in continuous process chemical/petrochemical industries.
• Knowledge of safety systems and plant utilities.
• Basic troubleshooting and handling of process deviations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production processes per SOPs.
• Ensure safety and environmental norms are followed during production.
• Achieve required quantity per planning specifications.

Role Description

To handle the Shift operations for achieving the targetted production by meeting all SOPS, quality & EHS norms.

Primary Responsibilities

1. To Monitor the Production processes as per the Standard Operating Procedure.
2. In the Process of Production, all Safety and Environment norms need to be strictly adhered.
3. To ensure production of required quantity of each product as per the specification given by the Planning team.
4. Any operational Issues need to be coordinated with the maintenance team and should be resolved by following all safety protocols like Permit system.
5. Should have basic trouble shooting skills for correcting any process deviations during the shift to ensure the required quality & quantity of the Product.
6. Responsible for all the manufacturing facilities in the plant during the shift operations.

• Meeting the Monthly Production Targets without compromising the SOPS, Quality & EHS norms.
• Achieving the targeted RM efficiencies.

Role Requirements / Specifications

Qualifications Essential

• Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering

Previous Experience Essential

• Should have at least 3-4 years of Industrial experience of production in continuous process chemical / petrochemical industries.

Desired

• Basic equipment knowledge & trouble shooting skills.

Functional Competencies

• Thorough knowledge of all Unit operations - Mass & Heat Transfer.
• Should have basic knowledge of the PFD, PID of chemical Industries.
• Knowledge of OISD standards/ MSDS of chemicals
• Should have basic knowledge of safety system in a chemical plant
• Should have basic knowledge of Utilities, Mechanical equipment’s, and Instrumentation.
• Should have manpower managing skills to get the work done for meeting the targets.
