Job summary

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., Sonipat, invites CAE engineers for Sheet Metal Forming Simulation. Diploma holders (9–13 years) or B.Tech (2.6–6 years) in mechanical/automotive fields with CAE experience for outer panels (doors, fenders, roof) and Class A inner panels are preferred.

You will independently run CAE for BIW parts, perform spring-back analysis, assess manufacturability, and prepare die planning sheets and process plans.

Job Role:

• 1)Forming Simulation (CAE) of sheet metal parts
• a)Independently handling Simulation (CAE) of Automobile's outer panels (Door, Fender, Roof/sun-roof, Side Body Outer), Class A- inner panels (Door Inners, Hood Inner) or High tensile parts
• b)Co-ordinating with R&D (or customer) for incorporation of all feedbacks
• c)Able to prepare Die Planning sheet / Process Plan

2)Good know how of press die design and panel transfer in cross bar and transfer presses.

3)Sketch checking and feedback

Responsibilities:

• 1.Capability to do CAE for BIW (Skin panels, inner panels & high tensile parts)
• 2.Spring back analysis and its countermeasures
• 3.Checking manufacturing feasibility of sheet metal parts
• 4.Foresee the panel defects & able to give suggestions in CAE stage
• 5.Leading new product development project.

Technical/ Functional:

• 1.Knowledge of software - UG NX, AutoForm, Pamstamp, etc.
• 2.Understanding of Die Trials & Panel Proving
• 3.Basic knowledge of Yield improvement techniques

Behavioural:

• 1.Able to explain technical issues in simple language
• 3.Co-ordination with different agencies like R&D, die maker and press shop
• 4.Benchmark with competitor vehicles based on visual interpretation

Must Have:

• 1.Formability Simulation (Class A Parts)
• 3.Process Plan Know How
• 4.Sheet Metal Part Defect and Countermeasure

Nice to Have:

• 2.Ultra-High Tensile Part Development Know How
