Preferred candidate profile
Qualifications:-
- Dip in Mechanical Engineering with min 5 years experience in industry.
- B-Tech with minimum 3-14 Years experience in related field.
- Can also consider ITI who has worked on shop floor and has been elevated to Design and simulation.
Exposure Required :-
- Extensive hands-on experience using core modules like AutoForm-Forming Solver
- Strong fundamentals in 3D CAD modeling software, ideally with CATIA V5 / 3DEXPERIENCE or Siemens NX for surfacing operations.
- Advanced understanding of sheet metal metallurgy, material data, and Forming Limit Diagrams (FLD).
Scope of Work:-
- Developing die face for sheet metal components.
- Conducting incremental simulation as per laid down guidelines.
- Preparing stage wise tool set-up for design.
- Analyzing/trouble shooting simulation issues like thinning, wrinkles, spring-back etc.
Cross Functional Requirements:-
- Work closely with Product Design, Tooling Engineers, and Shop-floor Try-out teams to resolve complex stamping issues.
- Standardize material cards by verifying yield strengths, thinning metrics, and tribology (friction) data.
- Present data-driven solutions that reduce expensive physical try-out loops and cut physical tooling costs.
- Conduct simulation V/s actual events as per the annual plan.
System Requirement :- Workstation with Autoform & Catia configured.
