Job summary

Ascendion is seeking a seasoned ServiceNow Technical Architect to define and govern the platform architecture, data models, and integrations across ITSM and related modules. You will drive AI capabilities like Now AI, and mentor delivery teams while aligning with enterprise goals.

You will lead architecture discussions, ensure governance and data integrity, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years hands-on ServiceNow experience.
• Experience with ServiceNow AI capabilities.
• Strong ITSM knowledge including Incident, Problem, Change, and SLA.
• Proven enterprise-scale ServiceNow architecture design.
• Ability to lead architecture discussions.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the overall ServiceNow platform architecture, including application design, data models, integrations, and security.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, reusable ServiceNow solutions aligned with platform best practices.
• Design and govern data ingestion, transformation, and normalization patterns across multiple source systems.
• Architect business rule frameworks and automation using Flow Designer, Decision Tables, Script Includes, and platform capabilities.
• Provide architectural oversight for SLA, workflow, and service management solutions across ITSM and related modules.
• Evaluate and guide the use of ServiceNow AI and automation capabilities (e.g., IDP, Now Assist, Predictive Intelligence) where applicable.
• Ensure platform governance, including performance, security, data integrity, and auditability.
• Define integration strategies using REST APIs, MID Server, and external services.
• Lead design reviews, enforce architectural standards, and mentor development teams.
• Identify platform limitations and recommend appropriate architectural patterns or workarounds.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and delivery teams to ensure alignment with enterprise goals.
• Support presales, solutioning, and client-facing architecture discussions as needed.

• Working knowledge of ServiceNow AI and automation features.
• Strong expertise in ITSM, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Task SLA.
• Deep understanding of ServiceNow data models, Import Sets, Transform Maps, and automation frameworks.
• Proven experience designing enterprise-scale ServiceNow architectures.
• Strong integration experience (REST, SOAP, MID Server, external systems).
• Experience with platform governance, performance optimization, and security.
• Ability to lead architecture discussions and influence technical direction.
