eJAmerica is seeking an experienced ServiceNow CMDB Architect to lead the design, implementation, governance and optimisation of enterprise-scale CMDB solutions. The role requires deep expertise in CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, CSDM, ITOM and data governance.

The ideal candidate will architect CMDB strategies for 10,000+ assets/CIs, drive data quality initiatives and establish governance for CMDB across IT Operations, Asset Management and change processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS or related field.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and/or ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist Discovery.
• At least 8+ years of ServiceNow experience with 5+ years CMDB/ITOM architecture.

Responsibilities

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow CMDB Architect to lead the design, implementation, governance, and optimisation of enterprise-scale CMDB solutions. The ideal candidate will have successfully architected and delivered multiple CMDB transformation programmes for large domestic or global enterprises managing 10,000+ assets and Configuration Items (CIs).

The candidate should possess deep expertise in ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, CSDM, ITOM, Asset Management integrations, and enterprise data governance. This role will be responsible for defining CMDB strategy, establishing governance frameworks, driving data quality initiatives, and ensuring the CMDB becomes the trusted source of truth across IT Operations, Asset Management, Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.

Key Responsibilities

CMDB Strategy & Architecture

• Design and implement enterprise CMDB architecture aligned with ServiceNow best practices and Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
• Define CMDB data model, CI class hierarchy, relationships, identification and reconciliation rules.
• Create scalable architecture capable of supporting environments with 10,000+ assets and complex hybrid infrastructures.
• Develop CMDB roadmap and maturity improvement plans.

Implementation & Transformation

• Lead end-to-end CMDB implementation programmes.
• Drive CMDB consolidation, rationalisation, and transformation initiatives.
• Architect integrations with infrastructure monitoring, cloud, endpoint management, asset management, and third-party systems.
• Design Discovery and Service Mapping strategies for accurate CI population and relationship mapping.
• Define migration approaches from legacy asset repositories and configuration databases.

Governance & Data Quality

• Establish CMDB governance framework, stewardship model, and ownership structure.
• Define policies for CI lifecycle management, certification, audits, and data validation.
• Implement reconciliation, normalization, and data quality controls.
• Drive continuous improvement of CMDB accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

Stakeholder Management

• Engage with CIOs, Infrastructure Leaders, Service Delivery Teams, Enterprise Architects, and Business Stakeholders.
• Conduct architecture workshops and executive presentations.
• Provide strategic advisory on CMDB, ITOM, and ServiceNow platform adoption.

Technical Leadership

• Lead teams of ServiceNow developers, CMDB administrators, Discovery engineers, and integration specialists.
• Review solution designs and ensure adherence to architecture standards.
• Mentor technical teams on CMDB best practices.

Mandatory Experience

• Designing and implementing CMDB solutions for enterprises managing 10,000+ assets/CIs.
• Successfully delivering at least 35 large-scale ServiceNow CMDB implementation programmes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA). ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist Discovery. CIS Data Foundations (CMDB & CSDM) preferred. ITIL v4 Foundation or higher.
