Job summary

Perleybrook Labs is seeking a Service Technician in India to diagnose, repair, test, and restore returned IoT hardware units. This in-house role emphasizes troubleshooting, PCB repair, firmware flashing, and strict documentation, with no field responsibilities.

The position focuses on component-level repair, burn-in testing, and adherence to SOPs and ESD safety in a clean, organized workspace. Prior electronics repair experience is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or ITI in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in electronics repair or embedded hardware servicing.
• Strong hands-on experience in PCB troubleshooting and component-level repair.
• Proficiency in soldering and use of diagnostic tools such as multimeters.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in returned IoT hardware devices.
• Perform component-level PCB repair, including replacement of ICs, connectors, and modules.
• Flash firmware and verify correct system configuration.
• Conduct functional and burn-in testing after repair.
• Maintain accurate documentation of root cause, repair actions, and test results.
• Inspect and validate demo and spare devices before redeployment.
• Follow service SOPs, ESD safety standards, and maintain an organized workspace.
