Job summary

Birlasoft in Bengaluru seeks a ServiceNow SPM Developer to implement and enhance Strategic Portfolio Management modules. You will configure planning, demand, portfolio, and project workspaces and integrate with Jira, Azure DevOps, ERP, and HR systems using Integration Hub and REST/SOAP APIs.

You will build AI-enabled flows, prompt templates, and data mappings, while ensuring compliance, testing, and auditing. Collaboration with architects and product owners is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on ServiceNow SPM implementation or enhancement experience.
• Strong JavaScript knowledge and Glide API familiarity.
• Experience with Flow Designer, Integration Hub, REST/SOAP integrations.
• Exposure to AI-enabled workflows, prompt engineering, and human-in-the-loop design.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Core SPM Functions

• Implement and configure ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) modules.
• Configure and enhance Strategic Planning, Innovation and Demand Management, Portfolio Planning, Project and Program Management, Resource Management, Financial Planning, Timecard Management, Benefits Realization, and Enterprise Agile Planning.
• Implement scoring, prioritization, demand-to-project conversion, project templates, status reporting, resource allocation, capacity planning, cost and benefit plans, and planning-item workflows.
• Configure Strategic Planning Workspace, Project Workspace, Portfolio Planning Workspace, dashboards, reports, and role-based user experiences.
• Integrate ServiceNow SPM with Jira, Azure DevOps, ERP and financial systems, HR platforms, and other enterprise applications using Integration Hub and REST/SOAP APIs.

Development & Customization

• Build approved AI-enabled flows and agentic workflows with human review before priorities, funding, or delivery decisions are finalized.
• Create and maintain prompt templates, input mappings, contextual data, output parsing, guardrails, error handling, and audit logging.
• Support AI agents for demand enrichment, validation tasks, project monitoring, reminders, exception detection, and escalation.
• Execute functional, security, negative, hallucination, prompt-injection, and regression testing for AI-enabled capabilities.
• Track AI output quality, user feedback, failures, and exceptions, and support tuning of prompts, context, and controls.
• Ensure AI solutions comply with approved privacy, security, access-control, retention, and responsible-AI requirements.

Consulting & Stakeholder Engagement

• Participate in requirement workshops, technical design reviews, sprint planning, demonstrations, and release-readiness activities.
• Collaborate with architects, functional consultants, product owners, testers, integration teams, and platform administrators.
• Provide technical guidance, identify delivery risks, and communicate design constraints and dependencies clearly.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

• ServiceNow development experience, including 2+ years of hands-on SPM implementation or enhancement experience.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide APIs, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, ACLs, and scoped applications.
• Hands-on experience with SPM data models, workspaces, reports, dashboards, import sets, transform maps, and REST/SOAP integrations.
• Exposure to generative AI, prompt engineering, AI skills or agents, output evaluation, and human-in-the-loop workflow design.
